10/52 : PARTS OF ME

How many pieces make up a whole?

The answer is always infinite.

The pieces move, too. Some stay with us forever (our personality, looks, passions). And some come and go (temperament, interests, career). But there’s always a multitude of parts, moving in sync, to create the whole of us.

I’ve learned to love and accept the parts of me that will stay forever. Those moving parts, though? Man, they excite me. Some things have gone from my life that I thought were forever, and some things have come into my life and surprised the heck outta me. Like, I’m a plant lover now, the twenties version of me wouldn’t have believed it.

Anyway, this photo reflects me as I am now. Not all my parts, just a few—ones that have been with me for a long time. They represent me on a creative day.

The daydreamer, not-a-morning-person me. The introspective, journal-loving, planning me. The photographer, action-oriented, to-do list checker me. The writer, get-all-the-stories-out-of-my-head me. And the content, joyous, I’ve-just-created-something me.
